McQueen and I

I caught the last half of McQueen and I last night.  It seemed to document his relationship with Isabella Blow, the later years.  She popped up frequently with a statement and view, it felt like she was narrating the programme.  Isabella discovered Alexander McQueen it seems, or perhaps she supported and promoted the fashion designer at the start of his career.  There was no doubt of his talent.  Creative, imaginative, detailed, McQueen's work is pure art.  Clips and images to follow.

Britney Spears - Hold It Against Me

I don't mind the song or the video, but I feel like I'm going back in time when watching this Britney video. I don't know if it's the styling, the hair or if she just brings back memories of being a teenager. . .
I like that she has gone more modern with her sound. I think the styling could of been better, the hair definitely and the costume. She should be in the newest or setting a future trend herself. A darker blonde maybe, a block fringe and the outfits should be fierce, fitted then floaty, feminine with an edge to them, a neon highlight or a stripe, floral clash. I think the set is confusing, why is she promoting so many products here? A fragrance, make-up and Plenty of Fish website? Maybe if they'd of stuck to one or two things. The white dress becoming paint splattered and cutting to Britney doing a full dance routine. That's what I would of liked to of seen from someone who once was my absolute favourite everything.

Olivia Palermo & Johannes Huebl for HOGAN Fall / Winter 2010 Campaign

Love love this video. NYC. Olivia Palermo. I like the style it's shot in, is there a name for this style? Probably. Quick shots to set the scene. Bookcases, random items, city shots. Close ups, peek-a-boos. Shots of shoes - hopping, skipping, walking, jumping. If I were to ever have a campaign for my designs it would be like that.

APROPOS Journal SS 2011 Olivia Palermo/Johannes Huebl

The styling in this campaign is spot on. I love the khaki outfits. Do they always model together? Adorable. Olivia's hair looks so fresh, shorter, darker and a fringe too. I love the shooting, split screen shots, fast changing shots, close ups.

Grammy Awards 2011 - Five Ladies: Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, F...

How unbelievably gorgeous does Jennifer Hudson look?!!!!! I can't get over how slender and sexy she looks. The performance was wonderful too but I could not stop looking at Jennifer Hudson.

(BRITS 2011) Mumford & Sons -Timshel (LIVE) (HD)

Before this I'd never seen them perform live. I really enjoyed this performance. I presume there's been a war of words between them and Chris Moyles which I somehow have missed. They recorded a message for him telling him to watch sports instead?! Maybe he's not their biggest fan. Another performance like Adele's, simple but powerful.

Rihanna @ Live 2011 BRIT Awards- "Loud" Medley

The performance I was most looking forward to. She didn't disappoint. I loved the mini concert she gave, a medley of:

Only Girl in the World - fiery red dress, appearing and disappearing behind a curtain of strands. One of my favourite songs last year, a new anthem for the girls. "I'm the only girl in the world!"

Come on! - I love that she had an outfit change, second outfit showed off her amazing body. I always look forward to watch artists dance and have dancers on stage with them. Rihanna danced amongst her dancers in Come on! This video will be replayed all week and this song is already on repeat on my ipod. "I like it, like it"

What's my name? - A big performance, fire, drummers, more dancers. Rihanna dancing. I loved it. "Ooh na na na"

Adele - Someone Like You Live at the Brit Awards 2011 [HD]

"Never mind, I'll find someone like you"

My favourite performance of the night. Gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes as it did to hers at the end of the song. The song was beautiful and her voice was spellbounding.

Take That - «Kidz» [Brit Awards 2011] [HD]

The BEST opening for the Brits 2011!

Mark stomping up and down with a swagger I loved. Leaping in the air, dragging the Union Jack flag behind him. "As you were"

Gary's voice with Howard's on the chorus, perfect. Robbie's moves, microphone spins and cocky expressions stand out and do make me giggle.

True showmen, powerful performance. I will be buying "Kidz" and replaying this clip all week.
