Not super cheap. Roughly the same cost of Converse but slightly thicker, not as rough on feet as canvas is also.
They will add character to an outfit. Leopard print & stripes is a combination that I've always loved. I will pair these with my skinny jeans & a striped tee. Black leggings & trainer socks with an oversized tee with a pendant & a leather jacket would look cute as another option.
Sales are not a good time for impulse purchases so check the returns policy before purchasing. If you do buy something, try it on with things from your wardrobe to make sure it fits into your look & works with items you already have. Do this before taking tags off, keep receipt & keep an eye on return limit. I don't set rules for myself when shopping but here are a few "should I shouldn't I keep it" points.
1. I've been thinking about purchasing for a while BUY
2. It's above what I want to spend by quite a bit DON'T BUY (my rough limit is £50 I try to stick to under that)
3. It's a stand out piece that will probably only get worn once or twice but I love it. DON'T BUY unless really cheap & then sell it on eBay.
4. It's classic, flattering & good quality BUY you can wear frequently or save for those occasions that require style. Think investment.
