my favourite day of the week is here! sunday is wonderful, i do everything i need to do through the week and then have sunday for a day of resting, reading, dog walking and catching up on the tv ive missed. after an hour or so lie in i uploaded some photos from friday night, caught up with friends on facebook and re-watched this week's Glee (for the 3rd time). i'm now dressed, make-up on. lunch, then making a start on making a cushion cover for emma's 21st gift. i need to make a start as its her birthday in 11days. i also want to make her a birthday card.
abakhan fabrics is the best shop for fabrics, craft supplies. i was in there over an hour. i think i could be in there weekly now i've found it! i got the cushions and fabric and thread and some buttons. had some help in there otherwise i wouldnt of known where to start. i picked 2 small cushions to start with. i'm using felt for the cover and tartan swatches for the patterns and letters. emmas is going to be dark green with different coloured tartan and prints spelling her name in a square two letters next to each other on top of the other two. hopefully it will look good and the measurements will fit and the fabric wont fray too much. i picked a blue felt and a floral fabric for myself. i'm going to make one for my bedroom too.
